And the Work of Public Education Reform and Restoration Goes On!

The "Hallelujah" chorus has commenced!

Warring Eel Productions has just completed its second education-reform themed documentary: EDUCATION ADVOCACY: The Voice of Real Reform.

Sandra Hammond was my humble "star" and an exceptionally creative muse. She dreamt up the film's title (mine was slightly more...how shall I say it..."provocative"), made suggestions, and contributed to some of the text and narrative throughout the film.

My favorite idea was the one she had for the very end of the film...but I will leave it as a surprise for future viewers.

What a fabulous experience it was to work with Rog Lucido again, as our high stakes testing expert.

Each parent ( Nancy, Eleanor, & Sylvia ) and student contributor (Lisa & John) could not have been more perfect. Their stories were sincere, and their articulate recounting of their experiences made editing a breeze.

In addition, the dynamic and always entertaining McGills (Charles and Laura, Attorneys at Law) made the "legal beagle" segment on Zero Tolerance disputes extremely viewer friendly.

Charles Genseal of Families for Effective Autism Treatment lent his insight as a fellow community benefit volunteer on the importance of advocates for families with students with special needs.

Sandra's advocacy for Central Valley families is person by person and personal. As the film reveals, her work is empowering and incredibly relevant and important in this day and age.

Stay up-to-date on local showings.
